Saturday, March 21, 1:00 - 4:00 pm
Hintonberg Community Centre, 1064 Wellington St.
Fee: $20

This dynamic workshop integrates some of the exciting theoretical findings from Part I ("The Science of Musical Medicine") within a practical experiential context.

Workshop Topics:
1. Brainwave Entrainment Through Sound
A survey of specialized music applications designed to promote and support relaxation, meditation, and cognitive performance enhancement.
2. The Healing Voice
* Access the power of mantras (sonic formulas) for health, abundance, well-being, and spiritual growth.
* Discover vocal toning systems for balancing energy
* Experience AUM in the body

3. Using Rhythm to Synchronize the Nervous System
A fun and engaging exploration of simple, metrical poly-rhythms that integrate voice, hands, and feet.

Scientists, mystics, healers, and musical visionaries have predicted that the therapeutic application of sound and music will become the predominant healing modality of the 21st century. Please see March edition of TONE (p.19) for workshop details or musical medicine article.
